GONZO continues innovating anime +
Leave it to GONZO to continue pushing the anime industry in the right direction to keep up with changing times. In April GONZO announced that they would offer episodes on streaming services, and even set up an official GONZO channel on Youtube.
Now they have partnered with Kadokawa and both companies are offering episodes of anime via Bit-torrrent. Don’t go crazy with excitement just yet though. First, these are just previews of their work. However GONZO has Romeo x Juliet in its entirety posted. Second, for now, these are only available for those living in Japan. If you do live in Japan, you can check out the BitTorrent Interop.
The good news is that if Japanese publishers are testing out and adopting these practices, it will force U.S. distributors to keep with the times as well. In order to not die a slow death, the anime industry will have to adapt to these changing times, and changing audiences. Via Giapet.
