New Dragonball Z Movie Pics +

Is it me, or do all of the pictures that have surfaced for the new Dragonball Z Movie make me think they are not even following the Dragonball Z story line? These new pictures surfaced, and I cant even tie them into Dragonball Z other than Justin Chatwin’s stunt double wearing Goku’s suit. Usually sneak pictures make me excited, but this is one of the few times that I don’t like what I see. Source Infotaku via Kotaku.
FYI, I did have pictures here, but I just got a nice little letter from Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation telling me to remove them. Ah, the legal system. Guess FOX didn’t like the press they were receiving from the pictures. So here’s a random Dragonball Z picture for your amusement. Hopefully Funimation wont send me a cease and desist. (I love you Funimation)

ITS NOT DBZ it friggin dragon ball and if you had half a brain you would realize that most of the picture do in fact bring much of the appearance of dragon ball the first original story of dragon ball plus anyone know that there is no way in hell that you can take a manga or anime and make it into a perfect movie it’s just no possible but the fact that it got 100s of similarities. It looks great plus those pictures are preproduction and are not what the final shot will look like And AS FOR KOTAKU. IT’S A piece of crap that all it does is bash dragon ball and the movie so if you’re a fan there is no reason to listen to them try this web site

I admit I’m not the biggest Dragonball fan out there. There are a lot of better anime titles that I would perfer to watch over Dragonball anyday. However, I do admit the story line, at times, was entertaining. One thing I didn’t like about the series was the episode long powering up. It was too drawn out.

I’m interested in seeing a Dragonball movie, but I prefer if it was a Dragonball Z movie. I would really like to see a live-action DBZ movie, but we probably won’t see it for a while, depending on how this one turns out. If they do make a DBZ movie, I wonder how are they going to make Vegeta’s hair stand up…lol.

Lol, so true. I dunno. A dragonball (z) movie really doesn’t do it for me. Anime -> Real Life doesn’t have the same appeal. Sure, the Death Note movie was good. Maybe its because something like Deathnote was only a season, and not as developed as something like Dragonball. I would be more willing to watch a continuation of GT than a real life movie.
The picture of Justin’s stunt double that I did post had a LOT of hair gel. I can only imagine how many bottles they would have to go through in order to get Vegeta’s hair to stay still just jumping let alone fighting. Computer generated hair.

Yeaah i know i suck at typeing but. lol. But hey one thing is you have to remember that this is Dragon ball, not dragon ball z, yes dragon ball z had alot more action but about 50% of it was the powering up all the action in dragon ball was 100% action there was once when the “powered up” and it lasted like all of 5 sec. But i mean what gets me excited is whos working on it if you think there are alot of good people. And the pictures are only preproduction so of course they look bad but 300 looked shitty from behind the scenes. Once the com out with Official and i mean truly official photos it’s going to look 100 times better

I wonder why some people are devoted to Hollywood so much to the point they accept the drastic and publicly unacceptable warpings of the original story

@hinkle: good point about 300 not looking good during pre-production. Well… I hope you come back to this post when Dragonball is released to tell me how wrong I was about thinking this movie was going to flop.

ok so here we have the dragonball movie which is coming out somewere in 2009 i can not wait to see it i wondering if goku will be a kid like in the animed dragonball cartoons i know he will be a teen though i guess i have to find out when it comes out . I am more of a dbz fan more than ever then dragonball but this db movie looks cool so i whould like to see it and later on maybe 2 years or so there might be a dbz movie i have wacth some thing on you tube and this person was angry if vegeta was not in the live acton movie you know were talking about dragonball not dbz but i think king vegeta and hopefully clips of kid vegeta i`m pj 11 years old ya i know there is dbz db and dbgt fans younger than me ..bye

NO Vegeta = fail!!! This movie will be horrid. You know what happens when they cast non martial artists for martial arts movie? Complete failure. There is no interest from hollywood to make quality films anymore. They just want your money. They will only succeed in ruining all your favorite superheroes. Comics and anime alike.

yeh dbz is really a great animatory. it will not be proper to call it a cartoon. only a cartoon will call such a great animatory as a cartoon. i m just addicted to it. hope the movie will be a rocking hit at the box office.
