Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Japan release

If the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in Japan is any indication of how its going to be here in the states, you better reserve your copy now. Sadly, Americans have to wait till March 9th, 2008 for the release. Akihabara was sold out everywhere with people lined up ready to snatch a copy of Nintendo‘s next blockbuster game. Many shops in Akihabara had over 200 people waiting in line, and many were disappointed with the “Sold Out” stickers attached to the display boxes. Stats showed that over 500,000 copies of Super Smash Bros Brawl sold in the first day in Japan! If you happen to work at IGN, then you may have noticed the buzz around the office due to Super Smash Bros being delievered to them yesterday. Check out their review, and reserve your copy with Gamestop today!

Update Feb 7 2008: Check out my top 10 Wii games for 2008 list!

The 3D fighter, developed by Nintendo, Sora and Game Arts, is always at the tip-top of GameStats’ most wanted list and these days it’s also the most popular game on IGN thanks to readers like you. It’s not difficult to understand why, either — after all, the anticipated Wii brawler represents the culmination of Nintendo’s beloved franchise; more characters, stages and options than ever before, not to mention enhanced graphics and addictive online-compatible multiplayer modes to boot.
