GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka +
Just got finished watching GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka, and it lived up to everything I expected of it. This is the live action version of the immensely popular manga and anime. I consider the anime one of my all time favorites, so I was eager to watch the live action version to see if it was just as good. Onizuka Eikichi is a ex motorcycle gang leader, and graduate of a sub-par university. However, his dream is to become a teacher. His friend lets him know that there is an opening for a teacher at a local university. He interviews for the job, but is dismissed as someone without any qualifications to teach at the school. Before walking out, he comes to the rescue of some students running from the Head Teacher. The Head Teacher has no respect for the students at the school, and Onizuka ends up defending the students with a roundhouse to the Head Teacher’s head! The Director of the school sees a sign of hope for the troubled school, and hires Onizuka as the home room teacher for one of the school’s toughest classes.
