Typical of American television, using that old "mocking them while pretending to like them" idea.

The last time I saw it to this degree was when they took the beautiful and talented Pink Lady and put them in the crapfest known as Pink Lady and Jeff. A show that served only to constantly ridicule the girls because of their poor English abilities.

It wasn't funny in 1980 and it isn't funny now.

Ooohhh... yeah... I agree with the previous post. I can't see this being anything else but a stereotype festival, packed with the usual ignorantly-racist American humour. I'll probably watch it to see what happens, but I have a feeling I'll feel uncomfortable, embarrassed and compelled to apologise to my Japanese fiancee.

All I see from this is that it will be packed full of racist stereotypes and will constantly belittle Japanese entertainment. A show like this will probably set back the current efforts that are bringing North American and East Asian cultures together.
