NHK has new Youtube Channel

NHK's new Youtube Channel: NHKOnlineI think the wave to online media portals is well underway in Japan. Just yesterday I posted about the Kadokowa Group offering anime on Youtube. Well NHK, the biggest public broadcaster in Japan has also chosen to post content to their very own Youtube channel, NHKOnline. NHK is sort of similar to PBS in the United States.

Their very first video is of Fujiwara Norika promoting the Save the Future campaign. NHK plans to post Japanese dramas, music, and documentaries to their Youtube Channel. Via Asiajin

  1. Checked this out yesterday, a good start but appears to be only short ads. As a format I’d be keen to see this progress, we live in the UK and have a PS3 hooked up to the TV to watch online media. BBC iplayer serves my needs but more online Japanese media would please my wife.
