Most schools will probably offer an option.
The majority of girls will choose skirts for the hotter seasons because, obviously, they’re cuter and we girls do adore cute things(mostly.) However, many girls will opt the slacks during the colder seasons(which isn’t too long in Japan, to the relief of skirt-chasers.) On the flip side, schoolgirls can simply wear a warm pair of stockings, which many (irl) do.

Thank you for doing this. I really needed this as our marriage is going through a rough time. I read the day 1. I am sometimes not patient but this will certainly help me to control my attitudes. I am doing this alone (with God off course)as my husband will not do it. Pray for us so that the Lord can work our marriage. With God everything is possible.

im from japan, and well school girl uniforms like our skirts are really cute but sometimes my friends and i would sometimes like to wear pants! i think that we should have a choice to wear our skirts or pants whenever we like, it would seem to make sense scince the school isnt isnt blamed for us catching a cold anyway! :3

while I also think the uniforms look cute, I find it disturbing to what extend the schoolgirl image is exploited in Japan. They’re in every manga, anime, sex film, star photobook.

But hell, those slacks look unattracktive!

I think slacks should be an option, i wear skirts year-round (my religion) and i know how cold it gets!!!! i couldn’t imagine having to wear short skirts and walk to school in the middle of winter!!!

The funny thing is, when I asked my ex-girlfriend about the subject, she said she wanted to wear a short skirt in the winter. I asked why she wore a short skirt in the winter, and she said because it looks cute. Then I asked why it was popular to wear a longer skirt in the summer, she said because it looks cute. It only makes sense I guess!!!??? You have to live in Japan to understand that nothing is the way it should be.

I think it’s stupid to get rid of the skirts in favour of trousers, or offer girls the choice. If you wear a skirt every day and your legs are bare, you get used to the cold. If you wear trousers it’s very hard to go back to skirts unless it’s the middle of summer.

I have to wear a skirt for school. We’re not allowed tights, just ankle socks, so my legs get cold. But I’m soon used to it. During the Christmas holidays I wear jeans pretty much all the time. Then first day back at school I have to get my legs out again and guess what, they’re freezing!

at my school. while walking in winter, we wore pants under the skirts but by the time we get to school. we had to take the pants off T.T
