Tomohiro Kato is mentally stable +
It has taken 3 months, but a psychiatric exam have determined that Tomohiro Kato is competent enough to stand trial, and thus able to receive the maximum punishment for his killings. I’m glad that this this decision was made as I believed he definitely knew what he was doing when he killed those innocent people.
Two key facts supported the medical examination findings. First, he went and purchased the deadly knife beforehand. Second, he posted the messages on websites stating what he was going to do. This was a premeditated act of violence. No word on when the trial will start, however I do suspect we will see not only a fast trial, but a swift and severe punishment.
