Triple Catcher Ice +
After the Robotic UFO catcher, I hardly expected to find another unique UFO catcher game from Japan so soon. However Trends in Japan spotted this ice cream UFO catchers that are about to sweep Japan for the hot summer ahead.
The UFO catcher is called the “Triple Catcher Ice -25″ (Gotta love the Engrish). It keeps all the ice cream goodness at -25C in order to make sure the catcher arm doesn’t damage the ice cream treats. The machine can be played with up to 4 people at one time vying for a creamy ice cream treat. Right now, they hope to put these machines into arcades across Japan. Somehow, I can see sticky buttons on the new Street Fighter 4 machine being an issue.
The Triple Catcher Ice features only the popular treats like soda flavored ice bar, strawberry vanilla parfait cup, chocolate vanilla soft cream cup, and vanilla short ice bar. I can see why they kept it generic flavors. You may have some disappointed people if they won the Wasabi flavored Ice Bar.
