Yunosuke, being a male host in Japan +

Yunosuke, a male host in JapanTo some, especially if you watch Anime like Ouran High School Host Club, this idea may not be as foreign to you. We are all familar with the Geisha’s in Japan pampering and keeping company for male customers. However there is a newer trend that has males pampering females, and some of those women are willing to pay anywhere from $1,000 to $50,000 for the company.

Japanese businesswomen have been working harder, and earning more money than ever before. So along with the normal cars, jewelry, and property, they have found other ways to enjoy the fruits of their labor. They pay for male companionship.

One such host, 24 year old Yunosuke, has made a great living from being a male host in Japan. He says,

I give women things that men normally don’t do, like complimenting their apperance. I make women happy. Women see us as one of their accessories. They like to wear nice things, so I try to look prettier for them all the time.

Yunosuke says he has earned more than $200,000 last year being a host in Japan. That “salary” allows him to visit the salon once a day to keep his hair perfect.

If you could be a host, would you do it? What do you think about the host clubs in Japan? Via CNN.

  1. Man I wouldn’t have a problem with girls if I looked that good as a male. But even if I did look like him, I wouldn’t take the job. I’d rather NOT be admired.

  2. its actually pretty common in the states too. mainly vegas but yeah its not odd that women would do something like this. who doesn’t want someone appreciate your presences and looking good for you
