Dragonball drawn by popular manga artists

This is the coolest idea I have seen regarding Dragonball in awhile. Dragonball Perfect Edition was just released in Japan, and to help celebrate, popular manga artists drew Dragonball scenes in their style. If you are lucky to have a the DVD box set, you will find a very special surprise in the form of a booklet with all of these drawings. Some of the manga-ka included are Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto), Tite Kubo (Bleach), Eiichiro Oda (One Piece), Yusuke Murata (Eye Shield 21), as well as many other popular artist. There are about 17 in total.

  1. Heh. Well I think that was kinda the idea. Sure, like the earlier post I did with Deathnote, someone can copy the style and apply it to anything. However, to have the real mangaka give a character their “touch” is so cool. Look at Tite Kubo’s contribution. Trunks looks like he has the cockiness of a captain. I love it.

Could you make it big in Japan?
