Well it seems Japan now has their answer to Speedo’s LZR Racer swimsuit that caused a huge wave in the racing scene. You may remember me talking about how many consider Speedo’s LZR Racer swimsuit as “swimsuit doping” because it seems to give the swimmer an advantage — and considering 18 out of the last 19 swimming records broken before February 2008 were from people wearing Speedo’s suit.
On May 7, the Japanese olympic federation gave 3 firms until May 30 to come up with an outfit that rivals the LZR Racer. Japanese Olympic swimmers are forbidden to wear any swimsuit not designed by a Japanese company. While the companies did produce swimwear, some still wonder if it’s good enough.
